Wide Calf Boots Review
Let's talk wide calf boots! Because I sure have wide calves. And it sure is hard to find really good boots that fit!
I just bought these boots I'm wearing in this photo and I absolutely love them! I was looking for dressier black boots that weren't slippery on the bottom - they needed to have great traction. I've had a ton of foot problems in the past and have a history of falling and breaking my ankles. Plus, I'm 54 and falling gets more dangerous as you get older and I'm clumsy so I really don't want boots that are slippery in the winter!
So I was looking for a good traction boot, but I also needed them to be dressy, have a wide calf, and in black. I found these from LifeStride on Amazon and took a chance on them and I absolutely love them! They're the LifeStride Women's Morrison Wide Calf Knee-High Boot.
I was a little bit worried about the heel height for both stability and comfort but they're great. I wore them around the house for about 2 1/2 hours and they were completely comfortable. I was on my feet the entire time and felt very stable in them, too. They're a faux leather but I couldn't tell them apart from my real leather boots. The fabric is gorgeous and they're water-resistant!
They have a buckle and gusset on the side so you can loosen them even more than I'm showing here and there's also a second elastic gusset in the back. And they come in a gorgeous mocha brown, too, which I'm dying for!
