Organizing Your Clothes, Part 2

Organizing Your clothes and closet - Steph's Style Challenge Styled by Steph Online Boutique Granger, IN
We are back in my closet for Week 2 of my style challenge! Last week's challenge was to start organizing your clothes by color and to move out-of-season clothes out of the way.
This week's challenge is to take 2 more steps and then repeat all 4 steps for all of your clothes.
1. Find a permanent place to store out-of-season clothes
Decide where to store your out-of-season clothes - whether it's as easy as putting winter clothes on one side of your closet and summer on the other side or maybe move summer clothes completely out of your closet if you have somewhere else to put them. And do the same with drawers - maybe put your winter clothes in the top drawers and your summer clothes in the bottom drawer.
Whatever you decide on, just separate them by seasons if you live in a place that has multiple seasons. It will make getting dressed so much easier to have them out of the way!
2. Donate or get rid of clothes you don't wear or that don't fit

This is always the hardest part for some people - deciding what to get rid of. If you don't wear it or it doesn't fit, just let it go. Having less visual clutter makes getting dressed so much easier and can even reduce your anxiety, I promise! I keep a tote bag in my closet and whenever I come across something that doesn't fit anymore or that I just don't like, I put it in the bag. When the bag is full, I donate it.
Here's Week 1 & 2 Organizing Steps all together:

Now let me show you why I like to put things in color order and do this once a year! Sorry for the fingers in the way - I just took screenshots from my TikToks.

Those photos show that I have 13-15 tops in the taupe/brown color way and only 2 white shirts (a third was in the wash). Now that I see that, I realize that I need to stop buying so many tops in taupe! I don't need anymore but I could clearly use a long-sleeve white shirt!
Organizing my clothes this way will help me save money in the long run! And I do the same thing with boots - I keep buying boots every fall because I forget what I have. If I moved my seasonal shoes where I could see them and organized them, I would see that I don't need any more boots!
So let's get to it and get everything organized!
